A good shoot looks effortless on camera because of the work that happens before anyone hits record. Here’s a look behind the scenes at how I get ready for a brand day.
Before the day
I study the brand — its tone, its audience, the three things it absolutely needs from the content. I arrive knowing the mood so the director doesn’t have to over-direct; often I can pick up the feeling of a scene with very few instructions.
On the day
Rest, hydration and an early start. I prepare wardrobe options, check the light, and run the key expressions in my head so they feel natural, not posed. Between takes I stay warm and present — the best frame is usually the one nobody was forcing.
Professionalism is the quiet part of creativity: on time, easy to work with, and always bringing something extra to the set.
